Silicon Is a chemical element which has the symbol Si and an atomic number of 14 . It is the 2nd most abundant element in the earth's crust. It occurs mainly in the form of silicon dioxide.

Silicon is used to manufacture integrated devices. It is a semiconductor. Single silicon crystals are made using the Czochralski process.
